allclientsHe has been able to work worldwide with a broad range of the workforce directly because of his vast experience with local, national and global firms specializing in career management, spousal relocation employment assistance, executive recruitment and placement, and group outplacement.  Mr. Maxson has consulted with tens of thousands of individuals in transition giving him a current real-life knowledge of the business climate as well as its workforce.

Mr. Maxson’s expertise spans from the basics to the most sophisticated tactics of job search. He has directed many people into positions they always wanted or did not know were possible.  His clients have covered the entire spectrum of fields and industries ranging in age from 21 to 79. Having helped thousands of individuals directly from new graduates to senior executive officers in a broad spectrum of industries, market sectors, and fields, he has developed a thorough understanding of the workforce and job market.
Mr. Maxson was the Executive Vice President of Marketing for the world’s largest career management firm.  After 10 months in the St. Louis corporate office taking on and attaining 100% success with the firm’s most challenging clients, Mr. Maxson received a promotion to be the Carolinas Regional Manager and Vice President.  This promotion came with a transfer to open and manage three new offices in Columbia, Charlotte, and Chapel Hill.  During Mr. Maxson’s tenure, out of 83 offices worldwide, he was awarded the Rookie Career Consultant of the Year and Extra Mile of Excellence Award for his work with individuals in South Carolina.

Mr. Maxson’s background with the aerospace giants like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and NASA took root as he landed a position with a human resources management-consulting firm in west Tennessee.

He also previously worked as a Job Search Specialist for the largest global spousal relocation assistance company. The clients that Mr. Maxson served were recipients of Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 organizations including global leaders like General Motors, Pfizer, Ford Motor Company, General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, General Motors, Frito-Lay, Anheuser Busch, and Eli Lilly.  This gave Mr. Maxson an opportunity to start working globally.  He was brought on board especially to work with relocating employee’s spouses who were moving to Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina.  This relocation involved about 300 working spouses who were relocating to the Triangle Area.  In this role, Mr. Maxson developed job leads, researched the job market, and wrote résumés for clients in the $30,000 to $200,000 salary range.

Four years earlier and before his move to establish more credibility in a larger market with international organizations, he started his first career services company in western Kentucky.  His clients consisted of professionals from Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Kentucky.

Mr. Maxson holds a master’s degree in organizational communication with a specialization in job search and career development and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and theatre from Murray State University.

Mr. Maxson’s background with the aerospace giants like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and NASA took root as he landed a position with a human resources management-consulting firm in west Tennessee. While there he supported 2 veteran recruiters and learned firsthand about the executive recruiting industry.

He has had exposure outside of career services as well. Mr. Maxson taught beginning and advanced tennis at the University level. Mr. Maxson also developed 9 years of leadership and management experience made up of a multifaceted background in manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and advertising.

Mr. Maxson holds a master’s degree in organizational communication with a specialization in job search and career development and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and theatre from Murray State University.  Mr. Maxson has been an active member of and volunteer with the Better Business Bureau, Rotary International – Columbia Club, Rotary Scholarship Selection Committee, The Boy Scouts of America, and Sigma Tau Gamma Local and National Alumni Association.  He was the original Founding Father and Past President of the Eta Epsilon Chapter.  Mr. Maxson also has been member of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Commerce since 1997.  He has been invited to speak and had group discussions about the job market, career management, and transition at the Charleston Air Force Base, Fort Jackson, Christians in Transition, Positive Fathering, graduate schools and universities, and multiple other venues throughout the United States.
